Our History

Our company was founded in 1991 by a college financial aid director who had first-hand experience with the challenges that students and their families face when trying to understand how to pay for college and complete the federal financial aid application (FAFSA). This experience has allowed us to establish a comprehensive service and rich expertise within our staff to support families throughout the process.

Our Value

Our service costs about the same price as taking a family to a ball game, while the average student qualifying for aid receives on average $14,980 per year (inclusive of grants and low-interest federal student loans). We strive to keep our service fees reasonable so that we can assist as many families as possible. Similar services can charge thousands of dollars.

Our low service fee can be offset many times over by the possible savings in financial aid resulting from having a professional accurately prepare and review your financial aid application. Just one mistake can cost you thousands of dollars in financial aid.

Many families spend countless hours researching and gathering the information they need to accurately compare colleges’ attributes and costs. Our College Cost & Planning Report® does all this work for you. Statistics, attributes, and cost information; for each college is detailed in a user-friendly side-by-side comparison chart so that you can be prepared to make the most informed decision possible.

Each of our clients has access to one-on-one professional consultations with our professional Student Aid Advisors. This experience and expertise give many of our clients the peace of mind that they are making the most accurate and informed decisions possible.
